In the age of the internet, content is “king”.
You might think of content as merely articles, however this is not the case.
Content comes in many different forms – Blog posts, videos, podcasts, social media, etc.
We will discuss all of these different types of content at a later time.
The fact still remains that he (or she) who has the most content, WINS.
Plain and simply, when you’re talking about the internet.
This may seem like a boring and tedious task.
You have no time.
You have to take care of your business right?
Well if you were to take just 30 minutes out of your day, maybe even at night, you could build a LOT of content in only 30 days.
Or just have your secretary (or assistant) write it for you!
And if you have no time for that, or don’t trust them to do it right, then the easier solution would be to hire someone to do it for you.
But we won’t get into that just yet.
Right now I’d like to just stress the importance of creating your own blog, getting content up, and publishing it to the web.
Maybe you already have your own website?
Do you have a blog?
Well if you don’t, then I’d suggest you get started!
Here is how easy it is. The reason you got into business in the first place was because you either had or learned some expertise in a certain field, and you felt that you could do it as good, or better, than your competitors.
Am I right?
Well these days, the successful business owners are educating their customers or clients through content such as articles and videos.
YOU have the expertise, so why not use it to educate and EARN yourself more customers or clients?
By doing this, you gain more credibility and AUTHORITY in your profession.
In addition to that, Google rewards the businesses that deliver the best and most relevant content by placing them HIGH in the search engines.
Many even on the first page, and in the TOP 3 SPOTS! Ideally, this is where every business dreams about having their business show up.
The best way to blog is to write content, or make videos aimed toward your readers. Don’t go on rambling about yourself or your company and make it into an online brochure.
I see so many businesses doing this, and it’s plain wrong!
Make your content fun, entertaining, and easy to read. If you are an attorney, don’t write in “attorney language”.
Trust me, this just confuses everyone. The best way to write is as though you are talking to a good friend.
After all, everyone enjoys reading a message from a good friend, right?
So now you know many reasons why blogging and creating content is important for your business.
It helps you to gain trust, authority, and a good rapport with your customer base.
Let’s face it, the internet is here to stay.
Might as well embrace it, and tell the world your story through blogging!
